Alberta Beachfront?
Your Real Estate Investment Vehicle
10 Feb 2008

Do you think Alberta real estate is always covered in snow? Instead, does your life at a glance show you enjoying beachfront property in the tropics down the road?  Picture the breathtaking view and feel the gentle breeze against your skin as you live the dream.  It would hard not to get caught up in a dream like that.  But dreaming doesn’t make it happen.  It’s a someday wish like having the winning lottery numbers.  Those are the things that happen to other people right? Not people like you and me…not! Believe it or not, your beachfront property is in Alberta!

Dare to dream because as the sage once said, “I think, therefore I am.”   Dreams can come true when you focus on them. That is not to say you can sit back in your Barca Lounger and wait for fate to fall at your feet.  You have to work to make them happen. Throw off your preconceived ideas that only other people can do it and jump in there and get busy.

Here is a tip for free to get you started on your path to success: Alberta, Canada.  The booming economy is enjoying the highest employment rate in the country. A good part of that stems from the oil sands projects that are giving Dubai a good run for its money. According to the Construction Owners Association of Alberta, industrial construction projections show that the economy will be strong for years to come peaking in 2010 when 38,000 construction workers will be needed for those projects.   As a 2004 projection this doesn’t even take into account the projects that have been announced in the last three years.

There are 25,000 more people in the city of Calgary alone each year (net migration). That is one city in a whole province that is going wild.  Alberta is advertising around the world for workers to fill the anticipated shortage of 330,000 trades people over the next ten years.  We will need housing for everyone who answers that employment call.  That means there will be no great slow down in the housing market for some time to come.

Fort McMurray, Alberta will offer you an incredible salary and even though you can afford better, you may well end up renting a cot rather than a room.  The rent on that cot could well be the same as you paid for a house in other parts of the country.  Owning real estate in central Alberta means you can supply what those workers demand.

The beauty of this is that there are still properties to buy and sell.  You can capitalize on the people who are downsizing, moving elsewhere or retiring and snap up the homes they are selling.  You are now looking at your ticket to that tropical beach.  With some due diligence owning real estate in Alberta is the jackpot as an investment vehicle. If you don’t know what you are doing contact someone who does.  Just as you should never take investment advice from someone who is still working, only take real estate advice from those who are successfully doing it.

Investing in real estate in Alberta is a great way to step into your beachfront property dream.  It’s not just for other people, its for you if you take a step of faith and make it happen!
